The winners of the third edition of the Free Fire Pakistan League (FFPL), team House of Blood are set to become the first-ever representatives of Pakistan to go on to the global stage, the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) in Singapore this May. Having recorded this amazing feat, they now have to hurdle across the Play-ins stage to make it to the finals event where they will compete for a grand prize pool worth $2 million.
The Play-ins will be broadcasted live at 6pm on May 14, 2022 on Free Fire Esports Pakistan Youtube Channel. The top 4 teams from Play-ins will proceed to the Final round on May 21, 2022.
Last year, Free Fire World Series 2021 was the most watched esports tournament worldwide with over 5 millions peak concurrent viewers according to Statista.
Many famous personalities such as Pakistan Cricket Team skipper Babar Azam and Tekken World Champion Arslan Ash took to social media to display their support for Pakistan’s representative House of Blood in FFWS 2022.
Free Fire continues to be the most downloaded mobile games in the world, with over 1 billion downloads on Google Play Store and is revolutionising the esports landscape in Pakistan.
FFPL III, Pakistan’s default qualifier for FFWS, had come to a close in a manner of grandeur as we saw Pakistan’s biggest Professional Esports League have a new winner this year. FFPL had previously attained the coveted endorsement status by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting under Fawad Chaudry and has since then grown to become Pakistan’s top-level Esports League.
FFPL IV is expected to return later this year in August, where thousands of players will look to dethrone reigning champions House of Blood and win the chance to represent Pakistan in FFWS 2023.
